Umber Greataxes combine mobility, defense, and fearsome weaponry to field a unit with superior flexibility. Greataxes will chase down heavier foes, stand firm against determined assaults, and deliver a devastating assault with their signature weapons. While not specialized in any particular combat doctrine, an experienced commander can deploy them as-needed, to shore up exposed weaknesses in their own defenses or exploit an an enemy’s poor judgement. In the Battle of the Five Kings, more conventional forces often find themselves unprepared for Greataxe veterans, as they can shift footing from offense to defense in a single command. The longer the battle, the stronger they become. House Stark counts itself fortunate to enlist such potent troops.
