In this expansion set for the second edition of the time travel roleplaying game, ZOETROPE, you find all-new card types. Bring in Magical effects or Catastrophic events to your time travel shenanigans! Features cover art by Rickie Lee Benedetto and card illustrations by milc.

New Magic cards introduce a fun new type of way to interact with the world. Why should you have to use a Research or Jury Rig Action card to figure out how to get something that requires refrigeration somewhere, when you can instead just use your Hot and Cold Magic card to instead freeze the item? Why bother Sneaking when you can go invisible with the Disappear Magic card? Create Mirages, fuse different items or people with Remix, and more! This expansion also includes new Role Cards, Traits, Weapons, and Gear that all make use of these new Magic cards, as well as new Events that tie in supernatural or magical elements to the game.

New Catastrophe Event cards change the experience of the game by bringing in dangerous calamities, natural disasters, alien invasions, Kaiju attacks, and more! When these Event cards are revealed, they are set by the Timeline and become a new overarching event. And as more Catastrophes are revealed, the level of the calamity grows worse!

This set of cards also includes fun new movie and story homage cards, paying tribute to the wonderful time travel media we’ve all come to know and love, from Dr. Who to Back to the Future to Primer, we’ve got all the tropes here, baby!
